The Grace to Do It...

When God gives you the grace to do something, He empowers you to accomplish the thing or things you couldn't otherwise do on your own. Now, there may be others on the outside looking in who see particular responsibilities, circumstances, and obstacles you have to deal with in your life, and wonder how in the world you manage it all.

But there's no perfect approach or flawlessly executed strategy you employ that has given you a sufficient amount of strength and balance. In reality, it's purely the grace and power of God at work in you.

Though everyday may not be easy for you, yet you thrive.

I, on the other hand, might drown under that same level of pressure, responsibility, or hardship, because that's not my area. I don't have the grace for it.

But you do.

That's why no one else can determine or dictate what you're capable of; only God knows what He's equipped you to do. So, don't ever be intimidated by what life has dealt you. Just remember, if God allows it, you can handle it. As the saying goes, "He won't put any more on you than you're able to bear".

Don't get discouraged, depressed, or disillusioned by what you're up against. There's no challenge too great and no problem too difficult if the Lord is on your side. You have the grace to do it.

You know, sometimes, well meaning individuals will tell you things like: No one person can do all that; you need help; that's entirely too much for you to handle. But if you're anointed to walk in those shoes, you won't miss a step.

You must understand that you've been divinely appointed and assigned. The Lord knows the road you must travel and the path you must take. That's why He predestined you to prosper in your purpose before the foundation of the world.

Of course that doesn't mean that hard work,  prayer and perseverance all go out the window. Not at all, for with great anointing also comes great responsibility.

Nevertheless, God has laid His hand on you and blessed you with everything you need to overcome any roadblock or hindrance. Again, you're anointed, equipped, and capable. Just thank God for the grace to run the race that has been set before you.

You are a victorious conqueror through Christ Jesus!

This Is Just Training Ground

Life can seem pretty hectic at times and it's easy to feel like you're just going through the motions. But every now and then, you need to remind yourself that you're just being prepared to lay hold of your ultimate destiny, that's all. And it is through the storms of life, the pressure-filled circumstances, and the challenging assignments God gives us on a day-to-day basis, that we become ready to operate on the platform He has prepared for us.

Sadly though, many of us pray to be used by God as anointed vessels and living examples of His glory, but as soon as we hit a slight bump in the road, we want to throw in the towel and quit. But we have to realize that, training is never easy, because it forces us to become acclimated to new and unfamiliar territory. It requires us to be flexible, agile, and faith-filled even when we'd rather retreat into that corner best known as our comfort zone.

Training stretches us, tests us and pushes us to the limit. It forces us to dig deep and tap into skills and gifts we never knew we possessed, or ones that have been lying dormant for far too long. Training ground, though extremely uncomfortable, is necessary for our spiritual, physical, and emotional conditioning.

You see, God won't send us out into the world ill-equipped to accomplish what needs to be done. No, it doesn't work that way. Always remember; God prepares us in obscurity, for what He will do openly to bring glory to His name. Behind closed doors, He carefully molds, refines, guides, and teaches us.

God does challenge our perspective, so we can really see what we're made of, before we ever get to the place where He's destined us to be. That's a huge part of what training ground is all about...showing you what you're made of; challenging you to do what you thought you couldn't do; be what you thought you couldn't be; go where you thought you couldn't go; and possess what you thought you couldn't possess.

So, if you're feeling squeezed and pushed beyond your limit, I'm here to put your anxiety to rest and let you know, this is just training ground. Know that the intensity of your training is a good indication of the magnitude of your mission and your divine purpose.

What you're going through behind closed doors,  is getting you in position to walk through the open doors God has already set aside for you. I don't know who I'm blogging for today, but you're not reading this by accident. God is serving you notice that all the pain and pressure has been for your development.

Oh my, I think I'm about to blog myself happy! Smile LOL

If you know, after reading this, that you've been going through God's divine training camp, instead of worrying and complaining, begin thanking God for your training. I know that it's not always easy, but you've got to be prepared in the dark for what God's going to do for you in the light.

Be encouraged today as God gets you in shape for what's to come. It's going to be worth all the pain you've patiently endured. I'm reminded of a scripture I love which says, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Romans 8:18 KJV).

I wonder if I can get anybody to praise God in advance for their "shall be!"

Wisdom of The World

There are many influences which compete for our attention; many different inputs which seek to shape our view of the world, and, in turn, direct how we make decisions about our life. There is also an enemy who greatly desires to win this competition. The enemy is battling for the hearts of men, women and children; and he knows if he can win the battle of the mind, the heart will remain his.

Many of the battle lines are easy to recognize. For example, the direct assault from various forms of sexual temptation and drugs claim numerous victims every day. But there are many other plans of the enemy which place hidden mine fields along the path and destroy those who are not careful where they step. Perhaps the best disguised and most effective weapon of the enemy is that of worldly wisdom.

Since the Garden of Eden the enemy has propagated a set of values which sound wise and appealing, but which consistently lead down a path of destruction. His "wisdom" attempts to define happiness and success - tells us we must achieve, push, and obtain in order to succeed and be fulfilled. But if we will come into the presence of God, we will see the world's wisdom for what it truly is...foolishness.

1 Corinthians 3:18-19
"Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight."

The values of the world are continually promoted in every type of media and from every possible class of people - even sometimes from those who profess faith in Jesus. But these values are lies! They are weapons of the enemy used to pull us away from God...they are foolishness!! And when we choose to live as a captive to world values, we have chosen to live outside of God's perfect plan; "Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God" (James 4:4).

God's plan will always require faith - always require us to be "sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" (Hebrews 11:1). This often means we must have the faith and courage to stand alone. Though the world may label us a "fool," we must continue (and continue some more) to "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5).

We are being called to become a fool to the world, but this is not an easy task. We have been well "educated" in the world system, and now must reshape the way we think; "be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2). This renewal process will take determined, consistent, and intentional prayer and the study of His Word. Let's refuse to live in a cloud of deception. Let's make an uncompromising commitment to God and break free from the wisdom of the world!

YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW...

Doubt is the enemy of the miraculous. Never forget that.

Whenever you believe God has planted something in your spirit, there will inevitably come that season of testing where your faith will be tried and doubt will be introduced.

But you can't take the bait. Yes, life's stormy winds will blow and try to toss you about; but still, you have to know with a surety what God has spoken concerning you. Because if you don't, you'll begin backtracking on the very things you felt sure about before the storm arose.

So, if you don't want to spend the rest of your life wavering, waffling, and worrying, then you've got to take a position and refuse to move from it. You must be confident that God is leading you and be done with it.

Plainly put, there are some things that you just have to know deep down within your heart. Embrace your belief and move forward. Otherwise, you'll be stuck pondering and over-analyzing, which ultimately leads to needless wandering in the wilderness.

You know how that cycle can be—I surely do.

One day you're sure; the next you aren't. One moment you're absolutely positive about everything; the next day you're totally confused about everything and don't know what to think. You experience a varied range of emotions: On those “doubtful days” you feel frustration, anger, sadness, and even hopelessness. On those “confident days” you feel excited, upbeat, optimistic, and happy.

If you allow outward circumstances to play on your emotions, you'll be a wreck each time things don't go perfectly or smoothly--and you and I both know there will be plenty of rocky days along your path to purpose! There's no escaping that.

If you're not truly rooted in your faith, whenever the slightest hint of adversity or opposition arises, you'll begin questioning your conviction. As a result, the cycle of doubt and despair will start afresh.

That's why, once you seek God for His guidance and pray for His will to be done in your life, you must trust that He hears you and answers your prayer. "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does" (James 1:6-8 NIV).

Being double-minded not only drives you crazy, but it also shuts you out from receiving what God has in store for you.

There is no middle ground.

Either you're going to trust God to be God in your life and be assured that He's leading you; or you're going to remain unstable and unsteady in all your decision making. And trust me when I tell you, that's no way to live.

You see, if you never take a stand on anything and choose to believe at some point, you'll forever be second-guessing God and yourself. And that's not the Father's will for you. Rather, the Lord desires for you to know that He's leading you and that your steps are ordered by Him. He wants you to be unwavering in your faith and expectancy. He wants you to rest in His promises and expect His provision.

You just have to know down in your soul that He's with you and refuse to doubt it. As the saying goes, "Ain't nothin' like knowing that you know..."

Don't let what you see with your natural eyes cause you to doubt what God has revealed by His spirit. I ask you today to walk in faith, with full assurance that God is faithful to perform every word He's spoken concerning you!

Know it. Embrace it. Declare it. And walk in it!

SEE THE SHIFT

I want you to think back for a moment. Reflect on something in your past that you couldn't figure out or work out on your own.

Have you got it in your mind yet?

Good.

Now, call to mind the day that God turned that thing around. Perhaps it happened gradually or maybe even suddenly, but ultimately, God came through didn't He?  The shift occurred, didn't it?

Of course it did, because we serve a faithful God who always takes care of His own.

When times get a little rough in our lives, we can't stop anticipating the shift. We can't quit believing, trusting, and thanking God for deliverance and victory. We shouldn't sink into a slump and worry about whether we're "going down for the last time".

Because if He didn't let you go down last time, then you're not going down this time either. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. James 1:17 reminds us that there is no variation or shadow of turning with God. In other words, He never changes.

He's consistently good; consistently merciful; consistently mindful of us and our needs; and consistently willing and able to come to our rescue when we call upon Him.

It brings God pleasure to prosper us and shift us into a season of abundant blessing. But we have to see the shift even before it manifests. We have to believe that it's already done even while our situation appears to be coming undone.  We must possess that quiet confidence in the God of our salvation, being assured that, the same Lord that brought about positive change before, will  do it for us all over again.

Do you believe that?

If so, this day ought be a fantastic day for you. There should be a bit more pep in your step. No matter what circumstance or situation you may be facing at this very moment, if you know that a divine shift is about to happen, you have a reason to rejoice right now.

By faith, receive the shift, change, transition...and elevation to new heights unknown.
